I actually live on an island where most come to escape their lives for one week of the year! I reside with my husband Scott, and three children Anna, Mckenzie, and Scotty on the Outer Banks, of North Carolina. The beach has always been one of the places I return to my truest self, remembering we are connected to something so much bigger than ourselves. We are created for joy, connection, and purpose!
For the past two decades, my passion has been to help people grow both emotionally and spiritually towards wholeness, while also devoting my life to motherhood. For years I felt like I needed to choose one or the other, but the truth is both motherhood and doing meaningful work hold great value to me. You see to create a life we don’t need a vacation from, I believe we all desire abundance in 3 areas of our life!
1. You are wired for joy and to create space to cultivate your own wellbeing. You deserve a healthy rhythm of life.
2. You are created to experience soul connected relationships with those you love most.
3. You are here to live a life dedicated to your highest purpose, the place that calls from deep within you to bring a little piece of Heaven to Earth!
Through the years I have led a variety of growth groups in my career, as well as held many groups right in the intimacy of my own home. I love to learn together on relevant topics such as personality, the enneagram, discovering your strengths, marriage, parenting, women’s wellness, self compassion, emotional health, and spirituality. I believe as we learn together, there is a rich experience created that changes us both individually and on a larger scale collectively as a generation of women learning to listen to our inner voices of love and empowerment.
In addition to leading groups, I am also passionate about working one to one with individual clients. I have coached and mentored many leaders, women, men, and colleagues combining emotional health tools, spiritual direction, and most recently Jungian psychology with a focus on shadow work. Jungian psychology takes us beyond limiting beliefs and leads us to the root of where our patterns all began, most often in early childhood. This process is called individualization and it leads you to a place of breaking free from the unconscious conditioning we all experienced in childhood to a place of truly choosing to make conscious choices to create your life. I believe the unique blend of combining psychology, spirituality, and neuroscience creates a sacred ground for cultivating growth. New patterns are created while releasing old patterns that no longer serve you in your second half of life. This way of deep transformational coaching empowers and frees individuals to make real choices in their lives.
I believe we are both fully human and fully divine, created in the image of God. As you embrace your humanity and divinity, you allow all of life to become an opportunity to teach you. By integrating our whole self, there is a new creative space for your unique, divine DNA to emerge. It becomes possible to live from your true self! I invite you to explore your deep why behind your decisions as you consider your highest purpose, learn to listen to your body that always tells the truth, and remember that your emotions are the bridge between the unconscious and conscious mind. I encourage you to allow your truest self to emerge because our world needs YOU, and all of your gifts. There is another way to live! I do not promise a life free of pain and struggle, but one with much more ease, less judgement for yourself and others, and so much more joy and abundance.
In 1999, I graduated from UNC- Chapel Hill with a BA in Psychology. In 2004/2005, I continued my education in a two year certification program through CFDM out of San Diego, CA where I received a Certificate of Spiritual Formation and Spiritual Direction. Simultaneously in March of 2004, out of a love of helping others live from their best selves, I also earned a certificate as a Gallup Strengths Finder Coach where I coached individuals and companies in team building using their top strengths to increase growth both personally and professionally. Most recently, in 2021/2022 I completed a year long program as a certified Master Jungian life coach with a focus on “Success Mindset”, as well as “Relationship Specialist.” I now combine many tools to offer a supportive space for clients to explore their inner world through shadow work, noticing your triggers, working with your emotions, paying attention to your dreams, and using meditation and visualizations to help individuals return to their truest self and be empowered to create a life where they can thrive.
In conclusion, while I have a passion for my own inner growth and helping others grow, it was in March of 2021, I encountered my own “dark night of the soul” where my faith and way of living was challenged and tested. My parents were in a car accident together on a Spring day. My mother died on site, while my father suffered life threatening injuries and a year long recovery. I resigned from a job I loved, and took a year to listen to my own inner voice searching for the truth that I was enough, that God was real, that I was not broken, and that one day life would be normal again. I went on an intentional journey of finding my own inner voice of love and letting it lead me back home to my truest essence. During that year, I questioned all of my beliefs. Some I have let go. Others have stood the test of time! Traveling through that dark night of the soul, I discovered many hidden gems in those dark places I had kept hidden from the world and even myself. On the other side, I became convinced we are not broken. We came into this world whole, but within moments our conditioning started and we began to live a story of how we should live in order to fit in based on our family, our culture, our churches, our peers, etc. We have survived well, but we don’t just need to survive any longer. It is time to thrive. It is time to break free of old patterns that no longer serve you. It is time to not only embrace our stories, but begin to write the rest of our story from a liberated place of “free will” and choice. It is time to be your truest self and share it with the world!
What I learned is as we hold both our humanity and divinity we can learn to create our lives; holding space for both beauty and pain, joy and sorrow, love and loss. All of life offers an opportunity to learn how to live more freely. What you are left with is your truest self.
Welcome to my Blog. There must always be a deep why behind your life purpose. Thank you Mom for your beautiful journals that showed me both your humanity and divinity and inspired my next purpose in a fresh way. Your love, encouragement, and faith have continued...
